Union stewards are the first line of defense against workplace rights violations. Workplace rights violations are called grievances. Our contract provides a fast and just process to resolve such grievances. Stewards are elected representatives who investigate grievances, and represent workers in such grievances. GriEvance Procedure
Our grievance procedure allows resolution of workplace issues in a timely manner. As a steward, you, along with other stewards, will be representing your coworker in this process.

Stewards are elected representatives. Elections are held on a rolling period. The Division Chief Steward can initiate that election. Contact your division chief steward to start that process.
